I got a diabetes kit and started using it the last time i got my sugar tested was about a year ago and it was ok the reason i got it was my dad had it and died from it because it was never cought anyways i was reading 70-104 is normal fastng and under 140 is normal for after eating 2hrs later my fasting was 108 and my lvl after eating was 156. I ate a tv dinner ( one of the weight watchers ones) and a snack cake.

Ok here is the deal.

When I have a bowelment I tend to push hard and I usually urinate at the sametime. Sometimes there is this nasty gel mucus stuff that comes out.
What is it?

Lately I have been having the urge to pee a lot. I know you are thinking its diabetes? That would make sense.
Diabetes runs in my family but I have recently been tested and it came out just fine. I even went and got my own glucose test kit.
I have had Prostitis in the past, about a year ago. Man that was hard. But I don’t have the urge to pee during the day only when I get done having a bowel movement or when I am just sitting around I tend to think about it.
Could I possibly be causing the urges?
Does anxiety play a part?

I am 28wks and had a gestational diabetes test today and it came back 140. The nurse said she was looking fr a number under 135. So now I have to go back for a 3 hour test next week. Is 140 really high? Should I be worried? What are the chances that i have gestatonal diabetes?

My doctors thought I may be diabetic so I’ve had bloodwork done a couple times now. The receptionist for my doctor’s office left a message on my machine today saying I need to call and book and appointment to follow up on my bloodwork and that they are referring me to the Rideau Valley Diabetes Services. But my appointment to follow up with my doctor isn’t for 2 months, so can I just pretty much assume the tests came back showing I am diabetic?

This is his first ever test (using a One-Touch UltraSmart Test Kit)…He’s been feeling sick and it seemed to be diabetes. The numbers came up 226. He is extremely resistant to the idea of an ER (he is an adult). What can be done to monitor him and improve his levels here at home until he can see his doctor in a few days?

I am 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My doctor had me do the GCT for gestational diabetes today. I believe she did it early because I am overweight. Up to my last appointment, I had lost four pounds since finding out I was pregnant. Today, I have gained three pounds back. Just letting you know, in case this can be because of GD.

My glucose level was 151. Therefore, I have to go back for the 3 hours glucose test. I am just curious whether any of you have failed the first test and then passed the 2nd? Also, for anyone who has GD, how did it affect your pregnany, birth, and child?

On the 30th of October I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes,and I was told because I am still young(I am 21) I can prevent it,I used to weigh 269 pounds, then that went down to 266 and then it went down to 260 pounds and then it went down to as of now I weigh 252 pounds,I used to weigh 280 something but I lost the weight. I am eating more healthy and I have cut back on the junk food.Before I got diagnosed I would eat,
5 whole boxes of cereal
2 whole lofts of wheat bread
a 6 pack box of honey buns(make that a 20 pack all in one day)
A whole bag of candy
A whole birthday cake for 20 people by myself
Every cake on the store shelves.
A whole pizza.
I would eat and eat and eat and eat.

I use the Contour meter
test strips
I use Microlet muti colored lancets
I take 2 metformin pills a day(after breakfast and after dinner) they are both 500 mg.
I also take Lexapro 10 mg.
I drink 1 diabetic milk chocolate drink a day
I get on the exercise bike and I burn up to 110 calories or more.
