My friend has diabetes and has to test her blood throughout the day and one day i decided to test my blood to see how it was. Anyway I tried it 6 times and each time the screen would show error. The machine works because my friend checked it with her blood and it was also okay with someone elses blood, its just every time I tried mine it wouldn’t work. The machine is a little electronic hand help gizmo, you have to place a little cardboard strip with a sensor inside the device with the sensor end sticking out then you drip your blood on the little sensor.
My blood does look very watery, a very thin consistency and a lot seemed to come out from the tiny pin prick.
any suggestions or thoughts as to what could be wrong! What should I do? Is it likely that I have diabetes?
I’d Just like to point out im not stupid! The machine is fine, we tested it more than once.I am not imagining it, the machine would NOT read my blood and my blood is not THE NORMAL CONSISTANCY. Please only answer as to reasons why this may be, not to tell me I am in capable of testing and judging something and im just being parra! Thanks

I have type 2 diabetes, since I was diagnosed before I got my insurance plan, they call it a pre existing condition and wont cover any of the cost of test strips. I have a one touch ultra mini. I need to find cheaper test strips. I am paying 98 dollars for 100 of them now, and I have to check 3 times a day. Any ideas?
