bloodless diabetes sugar testing?
Does anyone know where I can get one of these devices? My grandpa has diabetes but he refuses to check his sugar levels because he doesn’t want to prick his finger (or elsewhere) — I remember seeing a commercial for a bloodless diabetes monitoring device but I can’t seem to find it on the internet. Anyone???

There used to be a wristwatch type device some years back, but it was withdrawn from sale. I’m not sure why.
There is ongoing research into developing just such a system again using, perhaps, different technologies. The link below shows one such device, but it’s not yet available for sale. It, apparently, is still in experimental stages of development.
Although nowhere near as accurate, there is urine testing with disposable Clinistix. A stick is placed into the flow of urine and the colour [color, if you're one of my American cousins, or prefer the American spelling] it changes is compared to several on the side of the packaging. (These should NOT be used as a basis for determining what medication changes can be made.)
